| DANCE DREAMS RECITAL INFORMATION SHEET |
| DANCE ATTIRE As we progress through our wonderful new dance year we wanted to let you know about our policies on dance attire and dance shoes. While we do not require any of our participants to wear dance clothes, or even dance shoes, (because it involves changing clothes at school and some parents aren’t comfortable with that) we certainly allow them to wear those items if they have them. If you would like your dancer to have the whole getup but are unsure where to buy them, as a matter of convenience we sell a “Dance Set” that includes ballet shoes, tap shoes, a leotard, tights and a dance bag all for $80.00 – which is everything they could need. Please keep in mind that none of this is required but is offered from us simply as a convenience to you. PLEASE CLICK ON THIS LINK TO ORDER JUST A DANCE SET (NOT RECITAL COSTUMES) RECITAL INFORMATION As was mentioned in the brochure you filled our to enroll your star in dance classes, Dance Dreams offers two choices for our Spring Recital each year for you to get the opportunity to see what your child has learned throughout the year in a great performance with all of his or her friends. The recital gives your little star a chance to perform on stage and show off everything they’ve learned and the progress that has been made throughout the year, as well as giving all of you memories that you will cherish forever. 1) The “Studio Recital” will be held at the Ed Landreth Auditorium on the TCU Campus in Fort Worth, Texas on Sunday May 20, 2012 at 3:00 PM. For that performance your child will need both a ballet costume and a tap costume and each one will be $60.00, which makes the total $120.00. If you choose to participate in the Studio recital the costume balance must be paid upfront before we are able to order the costumes. There is also a $30.00 recital fee to help pay for the venue (due by April 30th), however, there is no fee for admission into the Ed Landreth Auditorium to watch the recital (no matter how many people you bring). 2) Any dancers that do not want to participate in the “Studio Recital”, and even those that do, can participate in the “Center Recital” held the last class day and time of dance in May at your child’s center. Costumes are optional for this performance, but costumes of some sort are highly encouraged since they make the child feel like he or she is part of a grand event; but please note that they are not required for participation in the “Center Recital”. If you would like to order just one costume for the “Center Recital” it will be $60.00, and to order both a ballet and a tap costume for the “Center Recital” will be $120.00 total. Again, please note that the entire costume balance must be paid before we can order your dancer's costumes. Please note that dancers are more than welcome to participate in both recitals and will not have to purchase separate costumes for the “Center Recital” because the costumes for the “Center Recital” are the same as those that they will be purchasing for the “Studio Recital.” Also, please note again that you are not required to purchase any costumes from us to participate in the center recital, but if you don’t if you would like to bring your own costumes or play attire from home for your little star to wear that would be great so they can get all dressed up too! The recitals are a lot of fun for everyone who participates, and it is a great opportunity to see what your dancer has learned complete with costumes, music and lights! We would love to have your dancer there! Also, we understand that all of this can be a little confusing so please, if you have any questions about anything please feel free to call us at 817-219-0469 or email dancedreamstx@yahoo.com. |
